Timelapse: Color Grading | HALCYON

Earlier today I posted up a timelapse video of some color grading process for the upcoming Tuner Evo LA film, and had a few requests to throw it up on YouTube, so why not!

In this video, you'll see me grade a clip out of the Sony A7RII, shot in color profile sLog2. I'm using a layer mask to tune the sky specifically before starting my master grade. Inside the layer mask, I'm bringing down my highlights about 1 full stop, and applying an HSL Secondary to saturate the blues and drop the luminance.

No LUTS were applied directly to this footage, however you do see me using them as a bit of a guide for the look I wanted.

Some general values in my Basic Correction:
White Balance: +10
Tint: -12
Exposure: No Change
Contrast: +45
Highlights: -7.3
Shadows: -10.5
Whites: 10
Blacks: -20.9
Sharpness: +50 (Shot in camera at -7)

I also saturate and hue shift my reds a bit to get them away from the typical orange-hue that Sony typically makes out of reds.
